[Wounds caused by firearm projectiles : interpretation of the physical-physiological mechanism of the lesions].

An explanation is offered of the morphology of the entry wound caused by a firearm projectile, of the projectile path through the body, and of the exit wound. Special consideration is given to pressure and shock waves caused and their relation to the speed of the projectile (below, equal to or superior to Mach1). The action of both pressure and shock waves is very significant, more so than ts and derm and so causing their rupture.
